Who Is Tom Hanks?

Tom Hanks’ real name is Thomas Jeffrey Hanks. He was born on July 9, 1956, in Concord,  California, USA. His parents’ names are Janet Marylyn Frager and Amos Mefford Hanks. As  of 2022, he would be 67 years old.  

EDUCATION 

Tom Hanks attended California State University, Sacramento, but dropped out to pursue  acting. He later received an honorary doctorate from the university in 1996. 

CAREER 

Tom Hanks is a highly acclaimed actor, producer, writer, and director. He gained  recognition for his roles in various television shows and movies, including “Bosom  Buddies” and “Big.” However, he achieved widespread fame and critical acclaim for his  performances in films such as “Forrest Gump,” “Philadelphia,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “Cast  Away,” and “Apollo 13,” among others.

Throughout his career, he has won numerous  awards, including Oscars, Golden Globes, and Emmys. Additionally, Hanks has ventured  into producing and directing, further solidifying his reputation as one of Hollywood’s most  versatile and talented figures.

Tom Hanks has been married twice. His first marriage was to Samantha Lewes (real name  Susan Dillingham), with whom he had two children, Colin and Elizabeth Hanks. After  divorcing Lewes in 1987, Hanks married actress Rita Wilson in 1988. The couple has two  sons together, Chester and Truman Hanks.
